Eukanuba offered me a free bag of food if I would feed it to my dog for a month and write about his progress. Of course, I said, “Sure!” I’ve been feeding it to Bill for about four days now, and he seems to like it. He’s a very picky eater, but when I put water in his food, he dives right in. I’ve been adding water to the Eukanuba with the same result.

I didn’t want to feed it to him dry this week because the poor guy broke a tooth at the dog park last week. Did I tell you about that? He ran up to a Lab and a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy at just the wrong time, and I heard a loud crack. That was his tooth! I thought he had knocked it clean out, but when I took him to the vet on Monday, it was still there dangling.
Well, I actually hadn’t taken him to the vet. He was there to give moral support to our foster dog, Winnie, whom we thought may have had cancer (the biopsies came back negative, by the way!). Anyway, long story short, the vet looked at his tooth, said, “Oh, yeah. That’s just dangling. That needs to come out.” They admitted him immediately and at 7 that night I had a much lighter wallet and a very distressed dog with shiny, clean teeth.
I digress… Bill and I are taking the Eukanuba challenge this month. I’ll keep you posted on whether I see any differences in him. It would be hard to make his coat any shinier, but I’m game to try!
